    Submission Guidelines

Eventchaser.com is Chicago's culture guide. We welcome submissions from venues, promoters, artists, collectives, and community organizers. Here's what we look for, how the review works, and what to expect once you're in.

    What We Publish

We cover events that reflect Chicago's living culture — from neighborhood block parties to museum openings, underground shows to flagship festivals. Submissions should fit one of our four pillars:

    • Events — festivals, parties, markets, talks, openings, pop-ups
    • Music — concerts, DJ sets, residencies, listening events
    • Food & Drink — tasting menus, chef collabs, tastings, restaurant launches
    • Fashion & Culture — runway shows, gallery openings, panels, screenings

    We accept

    • • Events in Chicago and nearby metro
    • • Clear date, time, venue, and ticket / RSVP link
    • • A high-quality 16:9 hero image (min 1600px wide) you have rights to
    • • Original concepts, residencies, and recurring series
    • • Free and ticketed events alike

    We decline

    • • Events outside the Chicago area (unless globally significant)
    • • MLM, crypto, or thinly veiled sales pitches
    • • Events that have already taken place
    • • Hate speech, harassment, or unsafe conduct
    • • Stock photography or AI-generated key art

    The Review Process

    1. Submit — fill out the form with date, venue, ticket link, a short description, and a hero image.
    2. Review — our editors review submissions within 3–5 business days. We may reach out for edits or clarification.
    3. Publish — approved events go live on the site, in relevant category pages, and may be featured in our weekly newsletter or "This Weekend in Chicago" roundups.
    4. Notification — you'll receive an email when your submission is approved, needs revision, or declined.

    Editorial vs. Community

To keep things transparent, every event on the site is clearly labeled by source:

    • Editorial — reported, curated, or written by the Eventchaser.com team.
    • Community Submission — submitted by an organizer and approved by our editors. Submitter name and link are credited on the event page.

    Image Rights & Content

By submitting, you confirm you own or have permission to use all images and content. You grant Eventchaser.com a non-exclusive license to publish them in connection with your event listing, the newsletter, and our social channels. Full terms in our Terms of Service.

    Featured & Sponsored Placement

Standard submission and review is always free. Featured placement (homepage hero, top of category, dedicated newsletter slot) is available for paid partners and is always clearly marked as Sponsored. For partnership inquiries, please contact us.
