Getting US Open Tickets at the Box Office
The US Open is very popular with fans and tickets go very fast. If you would like to attend, be sure to plan ahead. Tickets usually go on sale through Ticketmaster a few weeks before the tournament begins. The most popular matches are on the weekends, especially the final weekend when the singles and doubles championships are held.
Buy Tickets from the US Open Box Office
Where to Sit at Arthur Ashe Stadium
There are basically 4 types of tickets to choose from. Courtside Boxes, Loge Boxes, Lower Promenade and Upper Promenade. Courtside boxes are nearly impossible to get out of the box office. They are definitely the most expensive, some carry a face value of up to $800 each. The loge boxes are very nice and do not come with he hefty price tag. They are located directly above the courtside boxes and have a great vantage point from which to watch play. Seats in the lower promenade level are not a bad at all. They are elevated but still pretty close to the court. The vantage point from the upper promenade level isn't bad but I would recommend that you pay a little extra for the lower promenade. The difference in price is only about $20.
Buying US Open Tennis Tickets from Ticket Brokers
Unless you purchases tickets well in advance, it is unlikely that the box office will have very good seats. In this case tickets can usually be purchased from a ticket broker. Ticket brokers usually charge over the face value but will generally have seats in the Courstside, Loge level and lower Promenade. Be sure to deal with a broker that has a solid reputation and on that is a member of the BBB.
*Tip - Avoid buying tickets from "scalpers" outside the stadium. Scalping tickets is illegal in New York be sure to buy tickets well in advance.
Buying US Open Tennis Tickets on Ebay
Like anything else, tickets for the US Open can also be found on Ebay. Good deals can be found on Ebay but buyer beware. It is very easy to get scammed. If you choose to use Ebay as a source for tickets we recommend that you buy from an established company, not an individual. The majority of the scams are run by individuals. |
